STATEHOUSE (April 21, 2021) – Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch offered the following statement regarding the final state budget proposal:
“Our proposed state budget is is not only a record investment toward Indiana’s future in regards to Hoosier education, but it is also a historic investment to our infrastructure. Broadband is the enabling infrastructure for the 21st century and the proposed $250 million investment to connect our students, workers, schools and businesses will boost our state.
“Our continued expansion of broadband opportunities will improve healthcare services by opening more patients to telehealth services, expand education for students who are e-learning, and further support our already vibrant economy by connecting people and businesses to others across the state, nation and globe.
“I am thankful for the collaborative work the Indiana General Assembly and the administration put into drafting our biennium budget and to make investments now that will have a lasting impact for future generations.”
