|CLOVERDALE, Ind.- The Indiana Department of Transportation will host open interviews beginning this Thursday, April 15 at our Cloverdale Subdistrict office, located at 10 North High St., Cloverdale for open positions. Hiring events will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The following weeks these will be held again on Thursday, April 22 and Thursday, April 29 during the same times.
INDOT is recruiting applicants throughout our District for open full-time and seasonal positions. Open positions include highway maintenance workers, mechanics, construction project engineers and construction project inspectors. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license. A high school diploma is required for full-time positions and preferred for seasonal positions.
INDOT has multiple openings at the Plainfield and Bainbridge Units for highway maintenance workers.

In 2019, Indiana Criminal Justice Institute reported that distracted driving from mobile devices was a factor in at least 1,263 crashes and three fatal crashes. To make Hoosier roads safer, Governor Eric J. Holcomb signed the Indiana Hands-Free law to reduce distracted driving across the state. Beginning July 1, 2020, drivers are prohibited from holding a mobile device, except in emergencies, while their vehicles are moving.
