Indiana Restaurants Struggle to Stay Open

STATEWIDE — Going out to eat may be an act of heroism for some restaurants in Indiana. The National Restaurant Association is out with a survey of Indiana restaurants that shows 41-percent of restaurants will close in six months if business does not pick-up. The same survey says 46-percent of restaurant operators say they need some additional federal help to stay open more than six months. The Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association’s Patrick Tamm says the survey shows the bleak reality of what many Indiana restaurants are facing.
