MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the U.S. 136 railroad crossing in Crawfordsville will close on or after Monday, September 28 at 6 a.m. CSX Railroad will be restoring the tracks at the Market Street crossing just east of Water Street. The roadway is scheduled to reopen at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 3.
The official detour follows U.S. 231 northbound to I-74 eastbound to State Road 32 (Exit 39) to Nucor Road and then back to U.S. 136.
INDOT reminds motorists to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
