Putnamville Correctional Facility Donates to Food Banks in Putnam County

GREENCASTLE, Ind. — Warden Dushan Zatecky has announced that the Putnamville Correctional Facility Horticulture Department has donated over 6,456 pounds of food this year. The donations were sent to churches, food pantries, senior centers, and local food banks in Putnam county. Donations included yellow squash, assorted tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, peppers, greens, lettuce and zucchini. Terri Russ, leader of the Horticulture program, and two assigned offenders planted, watered, weeded, picked and sorted all of the donations.
