Parke County – The Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation on July 22, 2020, after receiving information from the Director of Human Resources of Valley Professionals Community Health, that a male had falsified information on a job application. The male subject attempted to use another individual’s name and Indiana Nursing License number, while applying for a permanent nursing position at their facility.
The investigation conducted by Master Trooper Detective Brian Maudlin revealed that a male subject had provided false information on a job application and during an interview, by using another certified nurse’s name and license number, as his own.
At the conclusion of the investigation the case was presented to the Parke County Prosecutor’s Office for review. Parke County Prosecutor Steve Cvengros made the determination, after reviewing the investigation, that charges would be filed in this case.
Walter Wildman, age 18, of Terre Haute, Indiana, has been charged with (1) count of identity deception. Wildman was issued a summons to appear in Parke County Circuit Court on October 5, 2020.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
