No Coins at Kroger

STATEWIDE — You won’t be getting any coins back after you’ve paid for your groceries, and there’s a good reason. Kroger announced it will no longer give coins as change to people who pay with cash, due to U.S. Treasury not having enough coins. Kroger will instead give you the option to either round-up for a local cause or have those coins applied to your loyalty card. The U.S. Treasury says the coronavirus’ effect on the economy left them without enough coins.
