Indiana Women’s Prison recognizes staff with Peers Recognizing Others Providing Support Awards

Indianapolis, Ind – The Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) Staff Development and Training Division (SD&T) encouraged staff at Dept. of Correction locations across Indiana to nominate peers for the “PROPS Award”. PROPS stands for Peers Recognizing Others Providing Support. The award is a way to give a “Shout Out” to a co-worker.  Each nomination included a description how the fellow staff member helped others during the pandemic and how their actions encouraged teamwork.

Laurie Johnson, the Warden at the women’s prison, along with Cindy Miles, the SD&T Retention and Recruitment Coordinator (RRC) presented PROPS Awards to staff at various departments within the Indiana Women’s Prison.  Warden Johnson commented, “It was an honor for me and Cindy to present PROPS Awards to the many deserving staff members who have set and maintained a standard of excellence.”
