INDIANAPOLIS — The whole family can finally go bananas at the Indianapolis Zoo. The zoo will officially reopen on Friday, June 19. It joins most businesses and entertainment venues across the state as most counties in Indiana are entering phase four of Governor Eric Holcomb’s reopening plan. The zoo received approval from Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett Thursday as he announced Marion County would enter phase four on that date. Visitors will be able to see the Tembo Camp, a new exhibit with African elephants. All guests will need to get a timed ticket in advance and are strongly encouraged to continue wearing face masks and follow sanitary guidelines.
