Nola F. Eicher, also called “MeMa” passed away Saturday morning, May 9, 2020, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. She was 82.
Nola was an employee of Noblesville School System for many years, but was also a nurse’s aide and housewife. She dedicated most of her life to raising her two sons, grandchildren and always helping with several nieces and nephews. She liked collecting dolls, decorating, doing crafts and spending time with her family. She loved life and sharing it with others. Nola loved to have fun and share with others but her greatest love was her family.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years.
Born Oct. 17, 1937, in Hamilton County, she was the daughter of Virgil and Ruby Morgan. She graduated from Noblesville High School. She married Carol R. “IKE” Eicher on March 29, 1996, at Noblesville. He passed away in August of 2013.
Surviving family includes: son Jeff Kitchens (Jackie Huber); grandchildren, Jason Kitchens (Jennifer Hargis) of Crawfordsville, Joshua Kitchens of Texas, Jamie (Josh) Caldwell of Waynetown, Jared Kitchens (Kelly Hart) of Indianapolis, Jennifer (William ) Burdine of Aurora, Indiana and Dustin Kitchens; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Shannon Kitchens of McCordsville; parents, Ruby and Virgil Morgan; and three sisters, Lavon Guillon, Phyllis Jean Odle and Juliana Schmollinger.
Nola’s wish was to be cremated without services and her family is honoring her wishes. Cremation arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
