After much thought and discussion between the Putnam County Health and Human Sciences Extension Educator, Adult Open Class Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents, and Department Heads; it has been decided that the 2020 Putnam County Adult Open Class (AOC) will be postponed until 2021. It was decided that the health and safety of exhibitors, judges, and volunteers was not to be jeopardized. With the Purdue University social distancing requirements, along with the Indiana Back on Track Plan, the AOC felt it would be impossible to completely comply with the requirements and ensure safety of everyone. The AOC has decided that the York Automotive Community Building area typically used for AOC exhibits would be better suited to provide 4-Hers an opportunity to exhibit while enabling greater social distancing. Please know this decision was not taken lightly. We recognize that this is a tough year and not what we anticipated. Please hold onto your AOC exhibits for 2021!
