Every day, 39% of families living in Putnam County struggle to meet their basic needs. The United Way continues to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of all our neighbors, but we are facing unprecedented times.
COVID-19 is disrupting the health and economic conditions of our entire nation. For families in Putnam County, this means many of our neighbors will fall further behind in their efforts to improve their lives. We are already seeing unemployment numbers skyrocket and families begin to suffer.
Today, the United Way officially launched its COVID-19 Community Relief Fund for Putnam County. 100% of donations to this fund will go to support individuals and families who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and its economic consequences.
We are calling on YOU to help be the difference in the lives of those struggling most in Putnam County.
The COVID-19 Community Relief Fund is set up as a micro-grant program for Putnam County human service agencies that work directly with those affected by coronavirus. Your donation allows our community partners to assist with basic needs like food, clothing, gas cards, transportation, rent assistance, utilities, and any other issues directly affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
The need is great and this work is impossible to do without YOU. Will you donate today and make a difference in the lives of our Putnam County neighbors impacted by COVID-19?
