Evergreen Indiana Comes To Putnam County

On February 4, Putnam County Public Library will join Evergreen Indiana. Evergreen Indiana is a membership of over 100 Indiana libraries that share resources and materials. Over 7 million items will become available for PCPL cardholders to borrow. Additionally, cardholders will be able to use their Evergreen Indiana library card, provided free of charge beginning on February 4, at any of the over 100 libraries that are members. The library is excited to join Evergreen Indiana and bring its benefits to Putnam County.

“Cooking With Kids” Is Now “Young Chefs”

Putnam County Public Library was awarded a $1300 grant by the Aldi Smart Kids program. This grant will help fund the newly named Young Chefs program, formerly known as Cooking With Kids. The grant will be used to purchase food for each program as well as a variety of cooking materials that will be used to teach children how to prepare and cook delicious snacks and meals! The first Young Chefs program is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11 from 4-5 p.m. where children in grades 2-5 will make sugar cookies. Please register by February 8.
