Inappropriate contact investigation leads to Coach turning himself in

On December 12, 2019 the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible inappropriate contact

incident that had occurred between a coach at Southmont High School and students.


The incident was investigated by our School Resource Officer.  Southmont was made aware of the investigation and the Department of Child Services was also contacted.  Upon completion of the investigation the report was sent to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office for review.


A warrant was subsequently issued for Jordan Hatch for Battery, B Misdemeanor.  Hatch turned himself into the Montgomery County Jail on January 8, 2019 and was later released on a $1,000.00 cash bond.


The incident remains under investigation.
