Russell Leon Stultz

 

Russell Leon Stultz, 82, of Clay City, Indiana passed away at home, unexpectedly, on January 6, 2020.

Russell was born on April 11, 1937, in Sullivan County, Indiana the son of Ivan and Alma Elizabeth (King) Stultz. In 1961 he enlisted into the United States Army where he served for 2 years. He was honorably discharged in 1963. Russell worked as a security guard for various companies.

Russell was an avid collector and operator of CB radios where his handle was Eagle or Purple Eagle in honor of his high school alma mater.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Alma Stultz and a brother Charles Stultz.

Russell was survived by his wife Alice Laverne (Williams) Stultz whom he married on December 18, 1992; 3 children: Robert McCormack (Margie), Sally Kay Stott (Gary), and Sue Ann Chastain (Dan); step-children: Richard Dayhuff (Emily), Don Dayhuff (Tina), Carolyn Rotman, and Steven Dayhuff (Mikki); grandchildren: Jesse Chastain (Jamie), Max James (Ariel), and Sepehara James (Jamie); several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Norma Phegley, Joann Kotter, and Mary K. Meyer as well as several extended family members and friends.
