Judith A. West

Judith Arlene West, 76, passed away at her home in Lebanon on Wednesday morning, Nov. 27, 2019. 

She was born in Crawfordsville on Dec. 13, 1942, a daughter of the late Louie and Mary (Kelsey) Davis. She attended Crawfordsville schools.

On Oct. 30, 1960, she married Gleyre A. “Westy” West in Crawfordsville. They had shared 58 years together before his passing in 2013.   

In 1985, Judy and her family moved from Crawfordsville to Lebanon where she worked for a few area nursing homes including Zionsville Meadows as an LPN.

After going back to school at the age of 40, she became certified for what she had been doing since the age of 13. When she was 13, she would miss school in order to work at the nursing home to help others.

Judy was an incredibly kind and caring lady to everyone. She was devoted to her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her family, Judy enjoyed Bingo, NASCAR, Dr. Pimple Popper and the Young and the Restless.

Survivors include three children, Scot (Meridith) West of Darlington, Charlotte M. West of Crawfordsville, and Gleyre A. (Amanda Snow) West II of Lebanon; grandchildren, Gabreal Paige (Brett Woodard) West, Wayne Snow, William Snow, Brandon West, Keyauna West, Tiffany (Michael Tunstill) Long, Michelle (David Flores) West, Ashley West, Samantha West, Alyssa (Ben) Pearcy, Jon (Hannah Lauderbaugh) West; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Brown of Indianapolis

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy L. West; grandson, Isaiah L. West; sisters, Donna Maxwell, Virginia Bray, and Jackie Sue Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon St., Lebanon, with Pastor Matt Skiles, officiating.

Visitation is planned from 4 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home in Lebanon.

Inurnment of ashes will be held at a later date.

Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
