State appointment of Brenda Heacock to Deputy Grand Regent of the Women of the Moose was received at the National Convention in Las Vegas in July. One Deputy Grand Regent is appointed per State or Province.
Brenda has been active in the WOTM since 2009 and has held various offices through the local Chapter, has worked on the State Charities Committee, received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017, and assists the Chapter Analyst Coordinator in working with troubled chapters in Indiana. She presently serves as Bingo Chairman and is a Caller at the local lodge.
Brenda retired from Putnam County Hospital as Administrative Assistant in 2006 with 35 years of service. Following retirement she began to give back to the Hospital and her community by volunteering with the Hospital Guild. She works in the Gift Shop, serves on the Guild Administrative Board, computes all volunteer hours and provides them to the Western Indiana Action Agency, and will be the Guild President in 2020-2021
Brenda’s other interest include Extension Homemakers, currently serving as the Co-President of the Past President’s Club. She has also served as the Event Coordinator the past four years for the Annual County Arts and Craft Fair.
Brenda is currently Secretary for the Clinton Falls Community Church.
Brenda feels it is important to give back to the community, and volunteers numerous hours on a monthly basis for a number of organizations.
A Reception, open to the public, will be held on Saturday, November 16, to honor Brenda. Reception will be held at the Greencastle Moose Family Fraternity with lunch at 1:00 and Program at 2:00.
