2020 Census: Job Opportunities

Join Steve Forsgren from the 2020 Census team as he initiates sign-ups for Census takers and other jobs available through the Census team. This is a good time to ask questions about working for the 2020 Census team.

 

Friend’s Annual Holiday Book Sale

Monday, November 4-Monday, December 23

The Friends of the Putnam County Public Library invite you to their annual holiday sale! The best books that have been donated throughout the year, including new books, signed books, rare and specialty books will be sold. Shopping for gifts? Look no further! We will also have book sets for sale as well. All proceeds will go to Friends’ initiatives such as library programming, the Imagination Library and the library’s Halloween Party.

Get flexible and fit at the library! Tai Chi begins at 11:30 a.m. Need help with technology? Community Help Desk runs from 4-7 p.m. Make sure to register online or by calling the library for this program. Wrap up the day with a jam session at Ukulele Jam from 6-7 p.m.

 

Thursday, October 31

We’ve got something for the little ones every Thursday morning! Join us for Toddler Storytime at 10 a.m. and Preschool Storytime at 11 a.m.! Join us for a friendly game of bridge at Bridge For Everyone at 1:30 p.m. The Annual Library Halloween Party begins at 4 p.m. Make sure to stop by and get your FREE book! LibrarYoga is canceled, due to the library’s Halloween Party.

 

Friday, November 1

On Fridays we like to take it slow at the library. Take a little break from screens during Imagination Portal Unplugged from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Imagination Portal. At 10 a.m., drop in to see what jobs are available for the 2020 Census.

 

Monday, November 4

Begin the week with a refreshing absence of technology during Imagination Portal Unplugged from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Imagination Portal. Need help with technology? Community Help Desk will run from 4-7:30 p.m. Just drop in with your device and the technology director will assist you. Love building and LEGOs? Brick Club begins at 4 p.m. Your creation may even be featured in the library display case! Bring your needlework project to Yarn Perch from 5-7 p.m. The PCPL Adult Book Club will be discussing The Martian by Andy Weir at 7 p.m.

 

Tuesday, November 5

We begin the day with Baby and Me at 11 a.m. where parents can spend quality time with their little ones building literacy skills. Need help with technology? Community Help Desk will run from 1-4 p.m. Just drop in with your device and the technology director will assist you. Kids’ Coding Club continues this week at 4 p.m. Make sure that you are registered for this program! Anime Club begins at 5:30 p.m. Come to discuss your favorite Manga or binge watch some Anime and don’t forget to bring a fellow otaku!
