Marlyn Lou Richards, 74, of Brazil, Indiana passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care, in Knightsville, Indiana on October 4, 2019.
She was born on October 30, 1944, in Clay County, the daughter of Betty Lucille (Hall) Wools. Following high school she enlisted in the United States Army. She was honorably discharged after 2 years of service to her country. Marlyn worked at G.C. Murphy’s and The Brazil Times. She also worked as a bartender.
She is a former member of the 1st Christian Church where she had served as a librarian.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Kim Clark and Spring Batchelor; grandchildren: Damian, Hailee, Britney and Cameron; 3 great-grandchildren: Matty, Kat, and Rylee; 3 sisters: Linda Bemis (Otie), Judy Holt, and Margaret Oldham as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Wools and her brother George R. Wools.
A celebration of life will be held on October 27, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Carbon Town Hall, in Carbon Indiana.
French Funeral Home, in Brazil, has been entrusted with her care.
