Kimberly D. LaForce, 58, of Clay City passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 in her residence.
She was born on September 28, 1960 in Brazil to Theron Dean Nees and Joyce Elaine (Higgins) Nees.
Kim was a 1978 graduate of Clay City High School and attended Indiana State University. She was a CNA for Cloverleaf Health Care in Knightsville and Southern Care Hospice in Terre Haute.
Kim loved to paint, sew and crochet. She owned and operated Kim’s Creations in Clay City and taught ceramic painting in her shop. She also loved to cook and bake. Kim attended First Assembly of God in Clay City before her health prevented her from going.
Survivors include her two daughters, Suzie Canner and husband, Garry of New Castle, and Autumn Carver and husband, Richard of Terre Haute; Her parents, Theron D. Nees and wife, Becky and Joyce Nees; grandchildren, Samantha Pickel, Elaina Ellis, Nathan and Travis Canner; a brother, Steve Nees and wife, Melody; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on 5:00 PM Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. 8th Street, Clay City with Troy Pickel officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 5:00 PM before services. To light a candle in her memory, visit: www.frenchfuneralhome.com.
