Jake Ray Crabb

Jake Ray Crabb, 45 of Brazil, passed away unexpectedly, September 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born January 14, 1974 in Clay County, the son of Harold and Susan Raab Crabb. As a young boy, Jake was the Silver Glove U.S. Boxing Champion Runner Up in his youth bracket. He loved baseball and played many years of Little League in Brazil.

He graduated from Northview High School and then continued his education at Indiana University. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and then went on to the Master’s program of Medical Technology. He began his work career at DuPont-Corning and then went on the Corvance-Lab Corp. He was a project manager and did extensive training in the United States and Europe.

When Jake had time off, he enjoyed being a ‘farm boy’ and helped out at his parent’s property. He like to bush hog, organize the barns and be with family. He also like to ride his Harley-Davidson.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Mary Jane Crabb, and Kenny and Margaret Raab.

Survivors include his parents, Harold and Susan Crabb; his sister and brother in law, Lisa and Raymond Fugate; niece, Hayley Fugate Smith; uncles, Larry Joe Crabb (Karen), Dick Raab (Marcia), Danny Eberle (Sue); many cousins and extended family; close friends John Coltharp and Krissy Shephard.

Services will be held Monday at 1:00pm at French Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11-1:00pm.
