As part of recognizing National Child Passenger Safety Week, which runs the week of Sept. 18-23, the Greencastle Police Department will be holding their annual Car Seat Clinic as part of their requirement for the Greencastle Police Department Permanent Fitting Station.
This evening, Tues Sept 17, the Greencastle Police Department will be conducting the Car Seat Clinic from 5 to 7 pm. at Putnam County Hospital 1542 Bloomington St., Greencastle, in the upper parking lot.
GPD will have certified car seat technicians on hand to check car seats. Technicians can evaulate the car seats through an inspection and make sure that the child seat is properly fit for the child, if it’s in good working condition, and if it is installed properly. Technicians will also determine if the the child seat is still considered functional and not expired or on a recall list.
If problems are detected with a child restraint seat the, the seat can most likely be replaced onsite.
