Martha Donovan Opdahl, known for her award-winning artwork in fiber, has donated a work of art to help fund the exhibit Bearing Witness at the Putnam County Museum. Long-time residents of Greencastle will remember Opdahl’s “best of show” winning entry in the 1976 Indianapolis Star Ruby McKim “Flower Garden Quilt” contest. Opdahl went on to earn an MFA degree at Indiana University and has won many awards in nation-wide and international shows. Her works are in numerous private, public, and corporate collections. She lives and works in Greencastle.
