Tiger Cub Coach Stephen Paquin Comments: The Braves beat the Tiger Cubs at Tiger Pointe CC Wed 183 -246. Terre Haute South played consistently throughout the match while the cubs hit good shots, just not consistent enough to keep the score close. Molly Ramey had her best score of the year and continues to play well against the best player from the opposing team. She had a chip in for a birdie on the sixth hole. All our other players lack the experience and skill level that they need to have in order to be a competitive team. We continue to work on the fundamentals necessary to be a competitive player in the matches. Jenn, Kadence, Allison, and Rain all hit some very good golf shots during the round, but had too many double pars; this will improve with more work at the range
and practice on the course. Golf is a very difficult sport to learn and can’t be mastered in a short time. I think that this group of girls will become much better players as the season progresses.
Next Match: Sat. Aug. 17 at Rea Park in Terre Haute in the 2019 Brave Invitational starting at 1:30 p.m.
