Bittles and Hurt and Hopkins Rector Funeral Homes have teamed up to bring the Putnam County a Free Community Shred-it event. These events raise awareness about identity theft and fraud by reminding neighborhood residents about the importance of securely destroying personal documents.
They are held in communities all over North America and offer neighborhood residents
with an opportunity to have their personal documents destroyed for free or for a nominal fee, by on-site shredding trucks. Shred-it branches hold their own events or partner with community agencies to raise funds for various charitable causes.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 8:00 am – 11:00 am
at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home Parking Lot located at 4 Percy L. Julian Drive in
