Jarik Scott Rogers, 39, of Brazil, Indiana passed away on July 21, 2019 following injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.
Scott was born in Clay County, Indiana on June 6, 1980 the son of John Robert Rogers and Tammy (Durbin) Rogers. Scott enjoyed spending time with his kids and his best friend Josh and his cousin John. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing video games and tinkering with vehicles. Scott was a master “scrapper” and was a collector of unique things.
Preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Alice Cox; a step-father James Young and a niece ShyAnn June Atkinson.
He is survived by his parents John Rogers and Tammy (Durbin) Rogers Young; his step-father Rick Atkinson; four children: Caleb Rogers, Austin Rogers, ShyAlice Rogers, and Jarik Rogers; mother of his children Amber Rogers; sister Nikki Fulk and husband Chet of Carbon and Francie Culbertson (Joee); brothers: Dale Rogers of Mooresville, Indiana, Wayne Burk, and Charles Zachary Atkinson and wife Yonie of Brazil; nieces and nephews: Sydney, MacKenzie, Dominick, Junior, Daniel, Joshua, Taylor, Ricky, Zachary, Nathaniel, Alexis, Rex, and Cheyenne as well as several extended family member and friends; .
Graveside services will be at Poland Chapel Cemetery on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 12:00. The public will be invited to join the family at shelter 12 at Forest Park on Saturday, at 2:00pm for pitch-in dinner in memory of Scott.
