Glenn E. Edwards, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Indianapolis. He was 81.
Glenn was a jack of all trades. He served as an electrician, maintenance worker and truck driver. He also served as a reserve police officer in Lebanon for several years.
He attended school in Fountain County and then trade school.
Born on May 20, 1938 in Tangier, he was the son of Leon Edwards and Opal Tinder Edwards.
Surviving family include his companion and caregiver, Della J. Downing; daughter, Linda Weiss (Walter); two sons, Jeff Denham (Kim) and Greg Denham (Connie); 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; two brothers, Robert and Andy Edwards; three sisters, Ruth Myers, Gladys Fairfield and Dorothy Hauser; and his beloved dog, Jock.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ron Edwards and five brothers, Les, Arnold, Raymond, Leonard and Ralph Edwards.
Services will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 22 at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Ave., Crawfordsville, with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. A private burial will take place at the Clinton Falls Cemetery at a later date.
