Warren W. “Nic” Nicoson, 93, passed away on July 4, 2019 in Cape Coral, FL. He is survived by his wife, Glenna; son, Bob Nicoson (Marsha); daughter Margy Elliott (Bill); stepchildren, Jan Hillis (Charlie), Clay Woodard (Debra), and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In 1944, Nic enlisted in the US Army where he volunteered for the Parachute Troops, and just before the Battle of the Bulge was assigned to Company E, Regiment 506, 101st Airborne, nicknamed ‘Band of Brothers’. He saw action in Holland, Bastogne, Berchtesgaden and Haguenau and was an honor guard for Gen. Eisenhower in Frankfort, Germany.
Nic was united in marriage to Betty Lou Campbell in 1946. She preceded him in death in 1999. Nic and Betty lost their youngest daughter, Karen, during her first year of college.
Nic and Betty lived most of their life around the Brazil area where they owned Nicoson Transportation Company. They were members of the First Christian Church. Nic taught Sunday School for over 47 years and served as an Elder.
Nic married Glenna Lewis of Cape Coral, in 2001 and they have resided there since. They were members of McGregor Baptist Church where he was active in various ministries.
Graveside services will be held August 10, 2019 at 11:00am at Clearview Cemetery. A memorial lunch will follow at Brazil First Christian Church.
