CLAY COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a bridge replacement project on the State Road 46 Bridge over Killion Ditch will restrict traffic to one 10’ lane, beginning on or after Monday, July 15. Motorists will be controlled at the bridge with a traffic signal. This bridge located approximately four miles east of State Road 59 should be opened back to two lanes in early December of this year.
Force Construction was awarded the $4.8 million contract. This project also includes a bridge rehabilitation on State Road 46 over Crooked Creek, located nearly two miles west of S.R. 59. This work will be completed next year.
