Micky “Mickey” Dean Terry of Wallace passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 9, 2019, at home, with his family by his side. He was 49.
Born Jan. 16, 1970, at Denver, Colorado, he was the son of Gloria Terry. He graduated as a member of the class of 1989 from Crawfordsville High School.
On March 31, 1989, he married Tina R. Merryman at Crawfordsville. She survives.
Micky was an avid drag racer and mechanic and enjoyed spending time at race tracks. He especially loved time with his grandson Mathew.
He was a member of the Wallace Christian Church and the National Hot Rod Association.
He was employed for 23 years with LSC Communications (formerly RR Donnelley & Sons) as a bindery machine operator. He previously worked at Town & Country Homecenter and Just-Rite.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Nicole (Philip) Hunley with grandson Matthew of Crawfordsville; son William (Sarah) Terry of Hillsboro; sister Linda (Duane) Stout with nephew Anthony and niece Kaitlyn of Dayton; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ben and Carmen Merryman of Hillsboro; brothers-in-law, Lee (Deb) Merryman of Crawfordsville and Tim (Sam) Merryman of Hillsboro; and sister-in-law Yvonne (Joe) Dickerson of Roachdale.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father.
Visitation hours are 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 15 at Family & Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16 at the funeral home, with pastor Ryan Sowers officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.
