2018 rough year for Indiana Dairy Farmers

Dairy farmers in Indiana say 2018 was a rough year. The Indiana Dairy Producers said yesterday that about ten percent of the state’s dairy farms closed last year. The Dairy Producers’ Doug Leman says there are a lot of reasons why, including that people don’t drink as much milk as they used to. Leman also says that the United States as a whole is producing too much milk, and that the recent tariffs didn’t help things either.
