On November 28th, 2018, shortly after midnight, the Parke County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls from the Jerry Mullis Sr. residence in Rural Rockville. An altercation could be heard taking place on one of the 911 calls, but connection was quickly lost. Parke County Deputies, along with the assistance of the Rockville Police Department responded to the residence. Officers made entry into the residence after attempts were made to get someone to answer the door. After speaking with all parties involved, Jerry Mullis (55) of Rockville was placed under arrest and formally charged with Domestic Battery resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury, a Level 6 Felony, and Interfering with the reporting of a crime, a Class A Misdemeanor. Jerry was transported to the Parke County Jail without incident, where he is being held without bond. Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
