The Putnam County Youth Development Commission is requesting your support for our 19th Annual Coats for Kids Campaign.  Boxes are being delivered to schools and businesses and should be ready for your donations beginning Monday, October 1st.   We’re needing new or gently used coats of all sizes from infants all the way through teen years.  Hats, gloves/mittens are also needed. Coats that are damaged or need dry cleaned should not be donated.

Donations will be accepted at the Putnam County Schools until Friday, October 12th at the following Putnam County Businesses until Friday, October 19th:  Ivy Tech Community College, TCU, Kroger’s, Greencastle City Hall, PC Library, PC Hospital, PC Extension Office, Jack’s Trash, Old National Bank, and the PC Youth Development Commission Office.

Our distribution day is Saturday, October 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Harris Hall at the PC Fairgrounds.  Please remember that all children must be accompanied by a parent/grandparent or guardian.

Without the generosity of the following organizations this annual outreach would not continue to be possible, on behalf of the many children in Putnam County who are served by this annual event, we thank you:  PC Homemaker’s Extension Club, United Way of Putnam County, Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Kroger’s, Ray Trash Service, Ascena Retail, DePauw University Printing Services, and all Putnam County Schools.
