Naomia “Louise” Hensley Hauser, 70, of rural Crawfordsville passed away at 2 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, in her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 19, 1947, at Indianapolis, to the late Emery Hensley and Violia Marie Osborne Hensley. She was married to William A. Hauser on May 25, 1966, at Ladoga. He survives.
Louise was a 1966 graduate of Ladoga High School. She was a life-long homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and quilting. Early in their marriage, she baked and sold cakes for weddings, graduations and birthdays. As an accomplished artist, her oil paintings were found throughout her home and homes of family and friends. She also enjoyed painting small intricate designs on jewelry and sharing them. Her greatest love and joy was her family, they were first and foremost with her!
Surviving, along with her husband, are son, Thomas W. (Jinson) Hauser of Ft. Hood, Texas; daughter Lisa L. Hauser of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Michelle, Michael and Brooke; two great-grandchildren, Calvin and Asher; sisters; Edna Kellie of Indianapolis, Jewel (Steve) Parker of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee, and Rosie (Jim) Webb of Hillsboro; brother Emery (Mary) Hensley of Winterhaven, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dan Hensley.
Cremation was chosen with no services planned at this time. Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate is serving the family.
