Robin Cheryl (Smith) Chervenko, 63, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away May 20, 2018 following a battle with cancer.
Robin was born in El Paso, Texas on June 8, 1954 the daughter of Donald (Carolyn) Smith and Lula Belle (John) Lorenze.
Robin had a deep love for animals especially her dog Quincey and her cat Bailey and a special cat named Whiskey. She also enjoyed working counted cross stitch, quilting, and sewing. She was a loving and supportive wife and had a knack for making a home a home.
She was preceded in death by a son Christopher Alan Pell.
She is survived by her husband Frank Chervenko whom she married on August 14, 1982. She is also survived by her daughter Brooke (Scott) Miller of Staunton, In, grandchildren: Alexandria Acosta of Chicago, Il, Christian Whitt of Staunton, IN, and Morghan Miller of Staunton, IN; parents: Lula Belle (John) Lorenze of Brazil, IN and Donald (Carolyn) Smith of Holiday, FL; a sister Terri Boor of Evanslville, IN; brothers: Michael (Connie) Smith of Morgantown, IN, Donald Smith of Greenwood, IN, John Lorenze of Rockville, IN; step-brother John Lorence of Black Hawk, IN; step-sister Diane (Doug) Smith of Sachse, TX; sister-in-law: Laura (Wayne) Lunsford of St. Bernice, IN; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at French Funeral Home, on June 9, 2018 at 3:00pm with Pastor Chris Gregg officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to visit from 1:00pm until time of services.
In accordance with Robin’s love for animals her family encourages donations to be made to a no-kill animal shelter, of your choice, in her name. Donations may also be made to the American Cancer Society 705 Putnam St, Terre Haute, IN 47802.
