James M. Reberger

James (Jim) M. Reberger, 82, of Brazil passed away Monday May 28, 2018 in Union Hospital with his family by his side. He was born November 19, 1935 in Clay County, the son of John M. Reberger and Ruth Boase Reberger. Jim was a 1953 graduate of Van Buren High School.

He was a member of Christ Community Church and retired from Peabody Coal Company in 1992. Jim loved to collect and restore Farmall tractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John R. Reberger; and two sisters-in-law, Hope and Nancy Reberger.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Patty Reberger; a son, Jim Reberger (Karon) of Coatesville, and a daughter, Sherri Turner (Rob) of Brazil; 5 grandchildren, Jamie Reberger of Little Rock, AR, Michelle Rodgers (Chris) of Brazil, Eric Reberger (Breanna) of Greencastle, Ryan Turner of Brazil and Justin Barnes of Coatesville; a great-granddaughter, Reagan Jean Reberger and a great-grandson, Jaxton Keith Langley.
He is also survived by 3 brothers, David F. Reberger, Paul W. Reberger (Shirley) and Ben L. Reberger; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Reberger and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday June 1, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Christ Community Church, 10942 N. State Road 59 with Pastor Rich Laskowski officiating. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00-8:00PM Thursday May 31, 2018 in the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil.
