Putnam County one step closer to new Judicial Officer

Putnam County is one step closer to adding a third judicial officer. Current Judges Bridges and Headly had asked for the extra officer for the county to help with the current case loads. Senate bill 14 was  49 to 0 this week and will now move onto the Indiana House. The Salary for the position will come from state funds and that is the reason the senate and house must approve the measure. Should the House pass the bill, The new Judicial Officer could be on the job as early as this July.
