29 flu related deaths reported in Indiana last week

Twenty-nine people died of the flu or flu-related illness just last week in Indiana, and the numbers have been increasing. The state health department counts 79 deaths in total this flu season. Most of them were over the age of 50. The virus has been widespread this year, prompting hospitals to restrict visits to patients. Hamilton and Shelby Counties have been hardest hit with six deaths each. Marion and St. Joseph Counties have each seen five.
