Robert E. Cox, 70, of Brazil, Indiana passed away at home, unexpectedly, on January 7, 2018.
Bob was born in Concordia, Kansas on May 8, 1947 the son of Alfred Russell Cox and Lillie Irene (Mosher) Cox. Bob graduated from the Indiana School for the Blind in 1967 where he participated on the wrestling team as well as other extracurricular activities.
Bob began his career working at Burger Chef flippin’ burgers in 1967. He worked his way up the ranks to the store manager position and retired from Hardees in 1992. Bob loved collecting trains, clocks, wind chimes and die cast collectibles as well as old recipes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son Jay Allen Cox and a sister Linda Zettler.
He is survived by his son Adam Cox of Brazil; a sister Judy Jordan and husband Gary of Brazil; two brothers: Ray Cox and wife Debbie of Brazil and John Cox and wife Kathy of Greencastle as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family member and friends.
Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 11am – 1:00pm. Services will follow at 1:00pm with burial to be held at Calcutta Cemetery. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle in his memory.
