An accident yesterday morning in Montgomery County shut down U.S. 231 for several hours. According to authorities the accident happened near Parkersburg when fire crews were battling a vehicle fire and a white box truck was northbound on 231 when the driver failed to yield to traffic that was stopped. The truck hit a black GMC SUV which was forced into a Honda SUV, then the GMC continued on and hit a red box truck. The driver of the black GMC SUV was transported to an Indianapolis hospital. The accident is still being investigated.
