Officer’s Utilize Fire Extinguisher to Suppress a House Fire (Putnam County)

Indiana Conservation Officers responded to a request for assistance by a citizen who flagged them down stating her house was on fire in Putnam County.

On December 6, 2017, at approximately, 12:28 PM, Indiana Conservation Officer’s – Corporal Dale Clark and Master Officer Mike Gregg were on patrol near Lincoln Avenue and Robert Weist Road.

The officers located the source of the fire and Cpl. Dale Clark deployed his State issued fire extinguisher, suppressing the fire.

ICO’s Clark and Gregg verified everyone was safely out of the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but observations in the home led authorities to believe it was electrical in nature.
