Judith Ann Means, 70, Brazil, got her miracle on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Brazil, on Sept. 2, 1947 to the late Carl and Midge (Treash) Stultz.
Judy graduated from Brazil High School in 1965, married LaVern Means on April 24, 1966, and later graduated from Harold’s Beauty Academy.
She worked for Kessler’s Sporting Goods out of her home and spent most of her life caring for her family.
Judy attended Brazil United Pentecostal Church.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and making crafts. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. She loved planning gatherings, and caring for everyone.
Mrs. Means was preceded in death by her fathers-in-law, Don Halfhill and Edward Martin, brother Jack Stultz, nephew Carl Stultz Jr. and niece Jessica Stultz Burns.
Survivors include her husband LaVern Means of Brazil; daughters Brenda Alsup of Brazil and Julie (Paul) Neeley of Brazil; son Jack Means of Ellettsville; sisters Wanda (Lonnie) Moody of Brazil, Patty (Steve) Sears of Brazil and Pam (Brian) Carter of Brazil; brothers Carl (Sharon) Stultz of Brazil and Dennis (Carmel) Stultz of Brazil; sisters-in-law Connie (Mike) Farmer of Gosport and Gwen (Charlie) O’Neal and Spencer; mother-in-law Alice Martin of Spencer; grandchildren Heather Ludwig, Jarred Ludwig, Tiffany Means, Jack Means Jr., Sierra Alsup, David (Kasey) Neeley, Tim (Marisa) Neeley, Jeremy (Kassie) Neeley and Shelby Neeley; great-grandchildren Amy Smith, Lynzie Smith, Joeie Johnson, Hunter Neeley, Easton Neeley, Elijah Neeley, Noah Neeley and Nova Smith; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery.
The family will accept friends for visitation from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
