Doyle Keith Boston, 87, born May 24, 1930, passed from this world on Aug. 25, 2017 while he was at home, in his log cabin with his wife by his side in peace.
He was the son of Mathew Mahan Boston and Naomi Denny Boston, both of whom have preceded him in death.
Doyle served in the United States Navy.
He was a professional pilot for many years, and he loved to fly. Doyle also enjoyed being an auctioneer.
Every year he would count down the days and hours until mushroom season. He was a true lover of nature, and had many talents. If you knew Doyle, then you have laughed.
Doyle is survived by his loving wife, Maria “Molly” Boston; his three children, son Steve Boston (wife Annette), daughter Robyn Boston Davis (husband Larry) and daughter Angela Boston Calloway (husband Brent); grandchildren Holly Boston Ford, Dusty Boston Usher, Kirk Boston, Branch Gordon, Abby Gordon (McGeathey) and Ellory Calloway; great-grandchildren China, Israel, Asyria, Grace, Isabella, Lyric, Keller, Miles, Nadia, Taison and Derek; and loving sister Eleanor Boston Nelson; along with three stepchildren in Chile, Rafael, Santiago and Alejandra; and nieces and nephews Francisco, Claudio, Fabiola, Francisco J, Cecilia; and Chilean friends Lisette M. and Giorgia W.
He was loved by his family here, and in Chile. He had the capability to achieve his dreams and develop strong links beyond the language and cultural barrier.
He got in his plane for the last flight. He kept going. He is tipping the wings to say farewell to The Lord’s creation, which he loved and participated to the fullest.
