Los Angeles man, 44, was arrested Friday morning after he passed and Indiana State Police Officer going 20 miles per hour over the speed limit on Interstate 70. At about 10 o’clock in the morning Brandon L. Thomas was heading eastbound in a Kia Soul at 75 mph in a 55 mph zone near the seven mile marker. After Thomas had passed the officer he continued to speed and switched lanes without his turn signals. Thomas was pulled over and the vehicle was searched. About two pounds of marijuana was found in a back pack. The estimated street value of the marijuana is about $6,000. Upon the search, a fake social security card was also found. Thomas has been incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail and charged with two felony counts, dealing marijuana under ten pounds and the possession of a fraudulent government document.
