Still No Prime Suspect for the Floyd Township Shooting

No new developments have come from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department in the investigation for the shooting that occurred in Floyd Township. On April 13th at approximately 3:40pm, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a shooting that occurred at 7207 North County Road 600 East in a small modular home. When emergency responders arrived on scene they discovered a woman who had suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. An emergency medical helicopter was dispatched and the woman was airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis. Further investigation revealed that the gun shot was intentional and authorities began an investigation into identifying the shooter. Before being airlifted the victim reported seeing a person flee from the scene in a white passenger vehicle and described the driver as a white male with a beard. The victim also reported that the man was wearing a green shirt and black gloves at the time. The investigation into this shooting is ongoing and authorities have yet to find a suspect.
