The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces work will begin Monday, April 17 on a $47.2 million project to patch and resurface I-65 between Lebanon and Lafayette from the 141 to the 165 mile marker. Nighttime lane closures will vary between the hours of 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. The contractor is allowed a two and one half mile work zone in each direction, giving motorists an 11’ travel lane. Milestone Contractors, L.P. was awarded the $47.2 million contract. The project on I-65 includes patching and resurfacing the interstate from one mile south of U.S. 52 in Lebanon to nearly 3.5 miles south of State Road 38 in Lafayette, replacing the decks on the State Road 47 Bridge and on Tippecanoe County Road 900 and 1000 East Bridges over I-65. The project is scheduled to be completed in October of 2018. Milestone plans to do some pothole patching this week during the overnight hours, weather permitting.
