The Indianapolis Colts signed safety Duke Williams and elevated
wide receiver Devin Street to the 53-man roster on Monday.
The Colts also placed safety Clayton Geathers, outside linebacker
Curt Maggitt and offensive guard Jack Mewhort on injured reserve.
Williams, 26, was released by the Buffalo Bills on Nov. 15.
The former fourth-round pick (105th overall) of the Bills in the
2013 draft totaled 77 tackles, one sack, an interception, five
passes defensed, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries in
57 career games.
Street appeared in two prior games for the Colts in 2016, totaling
one catch for 20 yards.
Geathers is sidelined with neck and concussion issues. The former
fourth-round pick (109th overall) of the Colts in 2015 totaled 60
tackles, five passes defensed and a forced fumble in nine starts in
Maggitt sustained a knee injury in Sunday’s 22-17 loss to the
Houston Texans. He had four tackles in nine games this season.
Mewhort also injured his knee Sunday.
