Brazil City Receives $400,000 Grant

Brazil City has received a grant of more than $400,000 from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs that will go towards improving the city’s water treatment plant. The improvements to the water treatment plant will likely range from software upgrades, compliance projects and equipment upgrades. The grant money will also be used to repair water lines and install new fire hydrants in the city. The improvements to the Water Treatment Plant can begin right away while the other projects with the line repairs will have to wait for favorable weather conditions.
