The Grand re-opening celebration of Greencastle’s Kroger was held last Friday, December 2nd. During the ribbon cutting ceremony Kroger marked the occasion by donating a $1,000 check to the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. The money will be used to support the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry’s mission in providing meals to our fellow community members who are trudging through financial hardship and can’t afford food. The renovation and expansion project took approximately 9 months to complete costing $5.1 million. The expansion will allow Kroger to sell more deli foods, sushi, expand the bakery, expand the pharmacy, expand the floral section and install a dessert case.
