One individual was airlifted Friday evening after a three-vehicle collision, at approximately 5PM. The crash occurred near Knightsville in Clay County, on US Hwy 40 at 100 East. Reportedly a red pickup truck was stopped in the eastbound US40 lane, waiting to turn across oncoming traffic, when a white pickup truck rear-ended the stopped red truck. The white truck ricocheted into the guardrail, while the red truck was forced into oncoming westbound lanes, hitting a blue passenger car head on. The driver of the westbound car was airlifted, and two other individuals were seriously injured. Names have been withheld until officials can make necessary notifications.
